Questions

Everything you're about to ask.

What does ARCH stand for?

Asset Record & Condition History. ARCH is examination and report writing software for railway structures teams, owned by Venus Systems Ltd.

Does ARCH work without phone signal?

Yes. Site notes, readings, photographs and answers are kept on the device and sent when there is signal. Nothing recorded on site waits for a connection.

Which examinations does ARCH cover?

Thirteen report formats: detailed bridge and structures, culverts under and beside the track, three retaining wall types, tunnel bore, portal and shaft, underwater, bathymetric, and underwater with Stage 1 scour assessment. BCMI condition marking is included on bridges.

Can we bring in our work bank from the client system?

Yes. Upload the task list as Excel or CSV. ARCH creates the examinations with their baseline and planned dates, matched on Job No, and keeps them editable. Reactive work can be raised on site.

Does the AI write our reports?

It drafts wording and flags gaps, as suggestions. It never sets a condition grade or signs off, and nothing changes until a named person accepts, edits or rejects it. Every suggestion is recorded with who decided it.

Which devices does it run on?

Any recent phone, tablet or computer with a modern browser. Nothing to install from an app store; add it to the home screen to open it like an app.

Where is our data stored and who owns it?

Examination data is stored in London. Each organisation's data is kept separate and can be exported at any time. You remain the controller of your examination data.

How long does it take to get started?

Send us your people list and work bank and we set up your organisation, formats and branding. Your examiners are emailed their account details and can start straight away.

How much does ARCH cost?

ARCH is priced for your team size and report types. Send an enquiry and we'll come back with a quote and a demonstration on your own structures.
